Our HOA is managed by a smaller local management company. I also serve on our local HOA board with 2 other neighbors. This morning I called our management company about a leak in our building and was totally distracted by this comment. Manager” I was just making out my Christmas List for my properties”. Me ” what do you mean? ” Manager” you know how we sent out David and Harriets gift baskets?” Manager ” your hoa president was kind enough to email our management company and stated this” ” Dear Management, if you are going to send out Christmas presents this year, please do not send me any fruitcakes and I do not like fruitcake!” Me ” I am soo soo soo embarrassed, and ashamed that our president said this! Please do not let this be a reflection on the rest of our board!~”

Personally I am mortified that an adult professional woman would send that email to our hired management company! Is there anyway to make sure they understand how apologetic I am for this assss??

Hello everyone,

Few weeks ago, I had asked one project lead (PL) about opening in his project. PL replied me that he will let me know if there is any requirement.
Now, I know that there are requirements in his project and I want to send reminder e-mail to that PL and request her to consider me for that position.
How to write such a e-mail?
Please reply as soon as possible, I have to send this email before monday so that on monday she can find email in her in box.

I never liked her dog, and she knows it, but I do feel bad for her. Would a call from me this fresh (the day after) be helpful or hurtful? We aren’t terribly close. Should I follow her lead of the emailed announcement to email some comforting words and let her know I’ll call her in a few days or she can call me when she’s ready? Or what?? Anyone have any experience with this?

I am soo soo shocked over this one. I took a step down job for higher salary just a few weeks ago. I spent this last week out of the office due to mandated off site orientation.

I came back to my lead position only after 8 solid work days and 5 off site. Less than two weeks. The administrator pulled and emergency meeting which usually is NOT good news and it wasn’t

It appears that in my absence one of our part time stafff nurses wrote a mass email and sent it to the entire staff… upper management included. It contained a list of expectations writtten by this employee for me personally and 2 other subjects only partially obtaining to me. It listed exactly what she wants me to do with such and such, that I need to take call after hours ect…. It was written by one, but in the voice of the staff. My management also found a circulating letter stating that our employees are forced to work ot without pay and some legal accusations.

I am hurt, shocked and amazed this person still works there. The management have put her on a final warning and in a group dictated that this si not going to be tolerated and any more literature that is circulated will end in disciplinary action..

How in the helllll can I support the managers with this? I feel like I will be the stool pigeon speaking up if I see any other behavior that indicates insubordination of our companies values!

a service offered by a friend, which ostensibly is helpful for many of the people who work here? I control the email list and someone requested that I send out this advertisement. I’m not sure it’s appropriate, even if some people find the service useful.
I’m being cryptic b/c i don’t want real life people to guess who i am.

for example: coworker tells me that his friend offers home painting services for cheap and can i please email everyone in the company to let them know.
